I Got Saved

I AM SAVED

This page is specifically designed for those who have just given their lives to Christ; it’s for those people that have made a recent decision to serve the Lord, or for those who are thinking about becoming a Christian.

I’ve just got saved…. Amen! – Praise God.

Here are some scriptures to go through as a base for what you have just done or are thinking of doing and a few things to help you in your walk with Jesus Christ.

God’s love is all-encompassing.

John 3:16 New King James Version (NKJV)

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

The Bible makes it very clear in Romans:

Romans 3:23 New King James Version (NKJV)

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23 New King James Version (NKJV)

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the [a]gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

ALL have sinned and fallen short, means that we all, no matter how much wrong we think we have or have not done in our lives, need a saviour. We all are separated from God because of our sin. We need a price paid to have communion with God once again. We need to accept that the price was paid on the cross by Jesus Christ 2000 years ago in Judea.

Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven

John 14:6 New King James Version (NKJV)

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

The Bible teaches it does not matter how good you think you are, nothing but repentance and faith in Jesus Christ is good enough, you can not do anything in your own strength its what he has done on the cross, its what he accomplished and he did it all for you. That’s what we need to accept.

Romans 10: 9 -10 New King James Version (NKJV)

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

The Holy Spirit was sent to convict you of sin and show the way to salvation through Jesus. As you have prayed (or are thinking of praying) the sinner’s prayer, His promise is true, You will be saved!

The Gospel in a nutshell.

1 Corinthians 15: 1 - 3 New King James Version (NKJV)

The Risen Christ, Faith’s Reality

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.

3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He was seen by [a]Cephas, then by the twelve.

That is the gospel in scripture that Jesus Christ the son of the Living God, gave his life for you, paid the ultimate sacrifice so that you could have a relationship with God once again.

He was perfect, he was sinless and took all the sins of the world including yours and all we have to do is acknowledge, repent and receive by faith, turn from sin and follow God.

If you have not yet prayed the sinner’s prayer and would like to do so you can pray with me now...

“Lord Jesus Christ, I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life. I repent and I want to turn from the things I have been doing wrong, I ask for your forgiveness and now do turn from everything which I know is a sin.

I believe you died for me on that cross and know without you I deserve Hell, I believe you are now risen from the grave and sat on the right hand of the father.

I believe you paid the complete price for me, for my sins to be forgiven. I invite you Jesus right now by faith into my life and will follow you all the rest of my days.

I believe right now by your precious blood I am saved, I am born again by the spirit of God. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and be with me forever.

Thank you, Lord, for saving me. Amen”.

So - What next Pastor Phil?

Well if you have prayed that prayer and you do mean business with God you will need to find a local fellowship for you to join. I would suggest that you introduce yourself to the Pastor of that church and ask him to help you in your walk with Jesus Christ.

In the meantime we have a media church you can join on Facebook called Phil Cartlidge Ministries Christian Fellowship you can find us by clicking on this Link

What to look for in a church:-

  • They are a God-centered church.

  • They take the bible as the complete written word of God

  • They are open to the move of the Holy Spirit.

  • They take you seriously when you say “you need help”.
Pastor Phil Cartlidge

I would also suggest that you get yourself a good study bible, start in the book of Mark, and maybe read a psalm and a proverb a day and go from there.
